Landscape Painting Acrylic (In Progress)

IN PROGRESS PAINTING....

On Facebook Annette Dozier has a painting group......she is one of my FAVORITE landscape artists....and I admire her work so much....  On the site group someone posted a photo of a landscape and I decided that I wanted to paint it just to see how mine would vary from the actual photo and using it more for inspiration than "copy".....  I freehand paint when I am doing a landscape and I love it because no 2 will be alike....there will be a variance in design, colors used, and maybe in actual content..and I love that it takes the "pressure" off of the artist.....we don't HAVE to copy.... we can change whatever we want, for whatever reason we want....and we will learn so much along the way as we journey through the piece.....  I have 2 more trees to add to this....one will be a dead tree and the others have foliage.....  I also need to work on the tree shadows in the water but I want to wait now until I have the trees totally done....  I love the way the clouds turned out ....  and that the water looks wet like water should.......
 So far I have used:
Parchment
Hookers Green
2 Blues
Black
Titanium White
Turners Yellow
in Liquitex soft body paints which more and more are the paints I grab the most ,....., especially when I do landscapes....  My brushes were the DYNASTY IPC and Designer Series brushes and my canvas is a handmade  5 x 5  portrait grade canvas board...

I wanted so badly to finish this tonight because things were flowing well but I decided to stop and finish the rest next "session"

When I am done with the painting portion I will use the Americana Glamour Dust Ice Crystal paint to fly speck the water area...just that little bit of bling that will create even more realism....

Steampunk Mixed Media $146.00

NOW THIS WAS FUN.
The focal steampunk portion was and purchased from the Etsy Vendor Clarissa Callesen from WA
www.ClarissaCellesen.etsy.com

The little plastic charms are vintage Cracker Jack toys
This will be going on my Etsy site for sale.....
I have to put on my thinking cap for other focals and "tidbits" for the next one......

Orange Tub

Just finished planting this in an area I can see when I sit on my porch for total enjoyment.  Love the oranges,,,,,

Floral Drop Painting (COMING SOON)

I saw a floral picture that I just loved on Facebook so I am going to use it as inspiration for a painting.
This is the background...and I am thrilled with it.

I used:
Liquitex Soft Bodied Paints   (3 Colors)
IPC Dynasty Brushes
Portrait grade hand wrapped canvas board.

I have NO idea if one would be able to obtain the same results with other paints/brushes/surfaces....I can only vouch for what I prefer and what gives ME the results I want in what I paint.  I do know that I have been using these products for the past 8 years and have no desire to make any product changes.....  When something works why change it?  Change only when it "doesn't" work.

Hopefully I will find time to work on and complete this painting by this time next week....have several florals  I want to do  with the same type of a background but just a couple of colors....
Will use the same paints, (different colors) same portrait grade canvas boards (but different sizes) and brushes.  Will be adding a couple of different brushes from the Dynasty line for the floral portions and I already know they are going to work perfect for what I want to achieve.

Maybe I should put out a floral kit that contains pattern/instructions/supply list and vendor list for paints ....  canvas and brushes....     hmmmmmm.  Any feedback?

Feather Lampwork Necklace

When I create......I never know just what will happen,  how it will turn out, what I will use, or even what I am going to create..... Painting, jewelry, mixed media, faux stained glass, crochet....I just let it happen as it happens.....  Life mode.

This feather is a hand marbled African Grey feather done by a good friend of mine from the East Coast and is found at www.quillnaros.etsy.com  She does the most marvelous feathers from a variety of different molted feathers....she has several birds which are the delight of her life.  So check out her site because you are in for a REAL TREAT with her artistic endeavors......

I don't know who the artist is of the large glass encased handmade lamp work bead but it matches PERFECTLY with the feather.    I have used 2 different colors of wood beads along with 4 small handmade lamp work beads and have strung the entire focal necklace onto cording....

Right now I am not sure if this is mine or if I will put it up for sale in my Etsy shop but had to share the creative journey of fun.....

Tiny Art Beach House

When I was in Florence, OR last week and eating lunch at an ocean front restaurant I took a picture that was similar to my painting.  I never paint for "same as", identical, etc. so this is more about the sand and dried grasses making the house on the hill beachside more of the focal.....  I will repaint this again and who knows what the next one will look like......  This was done on a 5" x 5" gessoed board

Painting is listed in my Etsy shoppe for $25.00.

Mixed Media Necklace Design Play Acrylic Paints Rubber Texture Stamp Mat

I have been selling Rubber Texture Mat Stamps on Etsy for several years and it is well past time for me to play with them and do some designing of my own with them.  I just never seemed to have time to "play".

The stamp I used for this design is Van Gough by Christi Friesen who lives in Tehachapi, CA...

Check out my Etsy shoppe for this stamp and others for your designing pleasure.  I have several pieces that are baked using different stamps and are waiting for the embellishment and painting stages.........  www.artisticrenderings.etsy.com

I am using Sculpey Ultra Light weight clay (white)
Liquitex Soft Body Paints in Burnt Umber and Permanent Blue
Sea Urchin Shells (horizontal pieces)
The beads in the first photo are ceramic...the beads in the 2nd photo are handmade clay beads from Romania....

The final design is "to be determined" and right now is just in the beginning stages of development.  Things change as I begin the actual process of putting things together...

I have laid  aside some  Baroque Gilders Paste in Rust and Silver which I may decide to use to further enhance the stamps' design impressions and better match the Sea Urchin pieces.  (I purchased these at a really nice bead shoppe in Florence, Oregon when I was visiting last weekend.  I am always looking for neat, unique pieces to use in my art work.)

I will be using the Dynasty FM Dry Brush in a size to accommodate the focal piece...probably a # 4 or #6.  They are soft but not squishy soft so they will allow me to just apply the paste to the very top of the design impressions....

FM Beauty Cosmetic Brushes ETSY Shoppe

Today I had a Mary Kay demonstration on some of their new products and in applying was able to try brushes vs using my fingers and decided I REALLY liked what some of the brushes "did".

For about 15 years I have been painting with and using FM Dynasty paint brushes.  In my book....there are not a better quality brush on the market (all lines)  and this extends over to their line of cosmetic brushes...I have a smudge and an angled liner brush I use for eye shadow (which I use as a liner)  No where have I seen good, quality make up brushes so I went to FM and ordered my 5 most favorite brushes....as used by a "senior citizen" and am  offering the set of 5 on Etsy for $39.00 plus shipping.  www.artisticrenderings.etsy.com

    COSMETIC BRUSH SET
       Lash and Brow Brush
          Smudger
       Blender
          Foundation
      Blusher

They are gorgeous brushes which can simply be identified as such with just a picture..... and their performance and quality will also show forth.   They are so soft and gentle to our thin skin facial tissues....

I would recommend wiping the brushes on a wet paper towel or makeup remover "wipe" after each daily use and washing the brush (with the original first on the market Dawn detergent) every 7-10 days...depending upon use....

Each brush comes in a plastic sleeve with how to use instructions from the make up artists who use and recommend them.

FM Bush company has been in the brush making business for 85 years and have 19 patents on their lines of painting and beauty brushes to provide us, the consumer, the best tools in the artistic professional industry.

Monica Brint Design Santa Tie

MONICA BRINT DESIGN

Surface Stash.
Wooden Hinged Tie
Santa Angel and Trees

Once again I added some snow and Americana Glamour Dust Paints in Silver Bling  and Crystal Ice

Monika Brint Design

Monika Brint has been one of my favorite whimsical design artists for years and I find painting her designs to be relax full and fun......  I have always loved her vertical extensions of elements.  This design was painted on a tall slender portrait grade hand wrapped canvas board.  It was the PERFECT size for the design.

I added snow to the trees, the top of the hill, under the houses, on the roofs  trees and deer and a couple of areas on the deer.  Also added was Americana Glamour Dust paints which I LOVE and use in nearly all of the paintings I do....  Just that tiny, little bit of bling that seems to just animate paintings, makes them more realistic and adds a bit of mystery to the pieces..... or so "I" think.

Tonight I started another of her designs with a Santa, to which I have made some changes from the original design and painting it on a hinged wooden tie surface I had and have no idea where I originally found them...darn.  Another of my favorite things are unique and different surfaces....they just seem to provide more inspiration .....

Pretty Flowers

Very simple, delicate flowers.....

Photo by me.......taken in Bend, Oregon.    Drake Park

You and Me Photograph

This photo was taken in Drake Park..... Bend, OR and is one of my favorite picture taking sites .... and close...  I love the light in this one and also the tree bark markings.....  I am wondering what this would look like if I tried my hand at painting on canvas.....??

Waste Basket

I needed a small wastebasket for my studio so I purchased one of the inexpensive rubberized plastic types and decided to paint it with a rose...... mottled background to add an artistic touch and inspiration....  Took me a while to get the right colors for the mottling but I am pleased.....  I used a slip slap technique with 3 colors and then I shaded in around the rose with Paynes Grey which is one of my favorite dark colors.....  Rose and leaves are my own take on the double load method.

Painted with Liquitex acrylics...... so much richer than the bottled craft paints.

New Necklace

I just finished this necklace and bracelet set.....and am pleased with the way it turned out.

The gemstone is Chinese Writing Jasper and one of my favorites because it is landscape-y, neutral in colors and allows for a nature look.  I used wood beads, vintage beige beads I have been saving for forever and decided to use, and swarowski crystals spacers in brown and black.  The silver spacers, and clasp is Tierra Cast sold by my daughter on Etsy.  www.dragynsfyre.etsy.com

On to the next.

PEONY

I have one lone, secluded peony bush.  Every year for the last 10 years I have had ONE  bloom...this year I have 3.....even though the bush was beaten down by an early spring hailstorm.  The stems are laying on the ground but the blooms are full, vibrant and gorgeous as you can see.  I am delighted and it is my pride and joy.  This spring I planted a pink one so with fingers crossed I wait for spring of 2017 to see if I am blessed with a pink bloom.......

ENJOY.........

Gemstone Jewelry

I have been designing and making jewelry with gemstones.  I love choosing the stones that appeal to me and then designing them into a piece of jewelry........and naturally I want to keep them all....but in feeling this way I know that I have succeeded in my finished piece.  It is fun choosing all of the accent pieces and laying it out to where I am pleased with the balance.

Today I began taking pictures and listing them into my Etsy shoppe for sale with crossed fingers that others will find them as stunning as I do....  Jewelry is hard to sell on Etsy because there are so many artists who are making jewelry....and some of it, which I have discovered from first hand experience is less that what the photos show.......  so this is what makes the selling of good quality pieces even harder....

This is Natural Picasso Jasper and the markings are so abstractly beautiful.  I use quality stones as well as quality components.

The majority of the silver pieces are lead free Tierra cast which are pewter coated with silver, or rhodium which is my preference......and made right here in the USA......  My daughter sells the Tierra Cast in her Etsy store....Dragynsfyre.  Top of the line and just beautiful....

May 2016

Today was a really fun day.  I am having new carpeting laid in my living and dining room and down the hallway so everything is a MESS....and nothing I can do....sooooo....a good excuse to retire to my studio and PLAY.....  I made 7 pieces of jewelry....have about that many more laid out in design to do tomorrow (one more day till carpeting will be in and done).  I had a vintage heat stove that had my husbands name on it Lawrence so I did a bronze rub on the the name and 2 flower motifs on 2 other sides and what a difference this made....in a positive way.  Thinking about what my next painting will be.  Thinking about the book I am reading, working on my aura, cleaning it and ridding it of of negative energy, journaling strange, bizarre and unusual significant happenings....the enjoyment of a friend stopping in to chat for awhile and drink a glass of wine.... a contentment with the order which is appearing in my studio room along with a comfort that I have there.....it feels good there...  I am excited to have my work station done, and in, and then I can finish up ....   at a bit of a standstill and allowing myself to take  the time to play.  I also worked on a clay spirit doll using some rubber stamps and did some color buffings.  I need to get to an area in my studio I can't get to to get some charms to finish the piece and consider it "done".  Looking forward to a bbq at our daughters' on Sunday or Monday to celebrate the beginning of Bends Summer events..... .....  deviled eggs to make and maybe a cake with homemade brown sugar frosting....

Photos to follow in next post....

SERENITY FALLS Part 2

Today I stopped in to Michaels to see if by ANY chance I could find a 4 x 4 inch frame for my Serenity Falls painting and walked out with this vintage tin frame....the ONLY 4 x 4  in the store.  Not really my "choice" but for right now it will work......I liked the frame a lot .... but really not applicable for this particular painting....

Serenity Falls

I am really liking "tiny art".

Painting #1 is a 3" x 3" square handmade stretched canvas on board/portrait grade.

Painting #3 is done on 3 small jewelry dominoes and I will be designing a necklace...

Although I am using the same design, but because it is freehanded with nothing but inspiration, they each turn out different...and proves that even an artist can't paint the same way twice unless they are tracing and copying and even then it is a debatable concept.  When I took classes I always took a class where I could learn a new technique, use a new brush, etc.  If I didn't like a color I changed it in my design.... I was always trying to find my own way when anothers' didn't work  for me....and there were no suggestions of different brush,  different size brush, etc.   I found my own way to hold the brush to have more control over what I wanted that brush to do.....how I loaded or didn't "load" the brush with paint..... and everyones "Touch" is different, unique and so will be their art.....the same but different as they take on their own style...find their own way.  Tweeking when playing and finding things that work....or don't work.

I love waterfalls, foliage, water, trees and limbs, splashes, sparkle and enjoying the fun that is found in painting....but in reality in every type of creative art.

Right now in my studio, I have about 4 paintings I am "in process" with,  an alcohol ink project to play with, some lightweight concrete clay for a necklace using one of the hieroglyphic stamps I sell,
about 5 necklaces in baggies with the focal and accessory beads (gemstone pieces), the serenity falls necklace, a concrete stepping stone, some of my orgonite creations.....  Art moves in stages for me....sometimes I can finish something quickly and other projects take more time, thought process, playing, tweeking, etc. but that is enjoyable to me also....  I also find that one project can lead to another which leads to another which leads to another.... a design progression..some off shoots from the same limb....of the same tree....  I love having colors work.....or an effect achieved.....and I always give thanks where thanks is do...

I enjoy working the same design in different sizes.... and many times I play with different colors to get something that is pleasing....... and other times, as I have done with these two pieces;  I keep the same colors because I like the results.....

Enjoy Serenity Falls...........

TOUCH DRAWING

Add caption
I took a TOUCH DRAWING class several months ago and this is one of the pieces I did on my own a bit differently than was shown afterwards.

I used the Deli Paper but folded it in the middle lengthwise because I wanted a mirror image effect.  Oil paints were used and then just my hands, fingers, to move the paint and create the design....  You have no idea what will "develop" until the paper is lifted from the brayed paint area.  On this piece I also used some metallic silver paint.

Depending on the light and where you stand in the room you will see different impressions left to your imagination to interpret.

I glued the paper onto a canvas gallery print canvas for display....

When doing these I love to light a candle, put on some New Age music, and just be with myself in my own little world of silence.

Some people have seen a dog and others Jesus.....what do you see?

I M Mixed Media Painting

TITLE:       I  M

I enjoy mixed media so this is one of my latest creations.

The inspiration for the piece, design wise, was a photo in a magazine advertising some kind of eye care product and it really spoke to me.

They say that the eyes are the pathways to the soul.........so I have a feeling because of the title that there will be some sort of a written spiritual addition to the piece.

The corner pieces are 1/8" laser cut wood pieces which I painted black, and of course the Scrabble pieces.  I HATE glue residue showing so I decided to try some nail polish clear harder.... I clamped it and it gave me much better results than I could have achieved with glue...no matter how careful I would be.

I  have used acrylic paints on stretched portrait grade canvas that are hand made.

The little speckles you might see are the DecoArt Americana Glamour Dust  paints as well as Tattered Angels Dazzling Diamonds spray........2 of my favorite products to use.

Painted Cell Phone Case

Using the one stroke technique I painted the plain ole brown leather cover for my phone.  I am so HARD on phones...so I needed one to protect my constant dropping and its slipping out of my pocket to ground.....  It only takes about 20 minutes to paint (Max) and helps me to easily identify..
I am going to go to the thrift store and look for a skinny belt and put it through the REALLY tight clip you can see on the back....and then I can carry it as a purse....

Orgone / Organites II

These are the first 3 organites focal pieces (necklaces) I have completed...The first one is Kyanite and the 2nd two are Ammonite and my metal are watch "innards, chain and pins.  I have just finished 2 lemurian crystal dog bone focals and thinking about what I want to do next.....  Relaxing and fun.

ATC Landscape

I Love ATC's.
This is a landscape I just finished using a custom made portrait grade
canvas board....they are my favorites...  I am not a fan of nubby canvas when doing landscapes.  I still have my splint on but am allowed to paint with a special brush holding tool the therapist made for me and can even remove the splint so I feel it will be good therapy to paint some smaller canvas' with limited movements and range of motion.  Stamina is a form of therapy after surgery as much as exercise, massage, etc.

This particular piece is magnet for "wherever".... and the magnet is Staples business card size magnets that are a nice size and cover nearly the entire backside of the canvas.  I will definitely be doing some more of these smaller photos...and because it is the first...it is mine to adorn my refrigerator...

Painted with acrylics by Americana DecoArt and Dynasty Brushes.

Orgone / Orgonites

An Etsy vendor introduced me to Orgons and organizes.  Since I love out of the box, being creative
in a spiritual manner, and an interest in the unique she picqued my artistic creativity.

I have ordered supplies which are trickling in ---  they are coming from Brazil, Ethiopia, and Africa.

This has given me time to do some research, ponder over what I might want to do as far as color,  gemstones, etc. so it has been a great learning experience.  I have always loved gemstones...one of my earliest recollections of beauty.

Layering organic and inorganic matter magnifies positive life force energy.  It works continually without being cleansed, charged or  programmed.  The pressure of the resin makes the orgonite pulse, amplifying the properties of the mineral.

A pendant =  light body activation so I want to make these as well as the small hand held pyramids.

I am going to start with Amazonitee, Lemurian Crystals,  Kyanite, Moonstone and Opal gemstones.

An orgone is based on the research of Dr. Wilhelm Reich.

It acts as a generator of the gemstones properties ..  great for meditation and to access the energy of the spiritual world.  It is "said" to alchemize imbalanced energies resulting from environmental and emotional pollutants.

Some of the pieces can be Reike infused so I am going to talk to a couple of friends who do Reiki
to hopefully obtain some insight from them on these pyramids that can be used in their healing.

When I was in Maui I had an impromptu reading by  a spiritualist from Illinois who was doing some research on a children's book she was writing..... and visiting the Sacred Garden and the 2 labyrinths that are available for a meditational walk.  She felt that kyanite would be a very beneficial gemstone for me.....  My first piece is going to be an orgone necklace using kyanite, opal and a Lemurian crystal.....  I love Opals and Crystals so I think they will be a perfect combination as far as "looks" but I need to do research on each and make sure that they will be compatible before I begin the actual work involved in  making the focal piece.  I am looking forward to being able to begin ....  and see what happens, doesn't happen...etc.  an artistic journey..how exciting...

The Light

I took this photo of a friends statue with lights and candles on in front of a window and the effect is surreal....

Trash to Treasure

I have a vintage white drop leaf table in my studio and this is one of the chairs that I painted and added a dresser scarf to as an update into creativity.   I vintage ...  and have a weakness for things that are a bit different.  This is a really small rocker,,,, and my paternal grandmother was a little bit of a thing..along with my father so this is sized for them and their generation.......  I love rocking chairs.  There is something comforting, and relaxing about "rocking" and a meditative type of thinking.

Paper Clips with a Message

I love the large wood paper clips and have several in different sizes.  I worked on this one right before surgery and once I am able to be proficient again with my right thumb/hand the words in the top area
of the paperclip will be painted on....just white pencil was used for temporary decision making,

I have another named SILENCE that has one of my spiritual saying painted in the top area.

Both paperclips have been finished with a sealer which accentuates the natural grain of the wood
and I love the rich look with no stain.

Fall Aspen Grove (Tiny Art)

Working with my non dominant hand I painted this Fall Aspen Grove painting.  It has been such a good learning curve in so many ways and shows what can be done from the same thought idea working with no design to trace and using just techniques and your own design idea as it plays out as you progress with the painting...

There are several techniques used to create the effects in the paintings I have been creating as well as speciality brushes from FM Dynasty that make the effects easier to accomplish as you work from from back to front.

I use some specialty paints, inks and dyes for finishing touches.

Once you learn the techniques anyone can create their own paintings with the effects seen here.

When I was talking painting classes "back in the day" I always chose classes where a technique was being taught, a specialty brush was being used, or specialty paints introduced and added.  I am thankful for this intuitive decision...

Once again on this painting I used corners on the canvas rather than matting or framing and a piece glued on the back top for hanging.  The piece also looks really nice on an easel..

NEXT:  A winter scene........

Wisp-er of Fall (Tiny Art)

Copyright 3/16

This is a painting I just finished using my non dominant hand...my right hand is in a hard splint nearly to my elbow from thumb, hand and arm surgery a month ago.  Painting, creating has a way of getting under your skin and is highly addictive and when you can't do it is when the urge seems to get the strongest so I figured nothing ventured nothing gained.....   For the darker tree leaves I was able to hold the brush between my index and middle finger  close to the ferrel to have a bit more control....but was resigned to 15 minute intervals with a good hour of rest between each 15 minute session per my therapist.  Because total, complete recovery is of utmost importance to me I follow instructions to the letter.....even though it is restrictive.

The design is painted on a handmade stretched  8x8 portrait grade canvas board and I added silver metal corners to the piece for something differen.  I have glued jewelry chain to the back with a large lobster claw clasp at the end for hanging....

My inspiration was a photo torn from a magazine that was in my "to paint soon" box in my create
area.

I don't use a pattern when I paint...and the colors I use develop as I paint and are based on previous colors or the brilliance or softness desired.

With this paining I found the use of Overcast by DecoArt (paint color) to work the best through out the entire design and mixing of colors.....

Tonight I am going to work on another similar piece but want to use aspen leaves/trees in yellows and my canvas is going to be taller and only about 4 inches wide....  I have the rest of the day to gather colors, and will continue the use of Overcast adding Paynes Grey for my background predominant color.....Overcast and Titanium White as my "fog, mist" washes.

I used Tattered Angels Dazzling Diamond ink spray as my first finish then finished off flyspecking with Glamour Dust DecoArt paint --  Crystal Ice.  I love how the ink spray created small orbs of light that weren't planned to the piece and are subtly visible.  (Orbs are a whole "nuther" story in my own specific art journey)

Painting is addictive, fun, challenging, therapeutic mentally and physically and provides a learning experience for those who love the journey of painting....

I have to admit that this is one of my favorite pieces.

Water Drop Photo

This is a picture I took of the raindrops on my cars windshield....it has become one of my very favorite photos and I am having it enlarged poster size.  This is a GREAT photo to use as a reference when you want to paint water drops....different sizes. light differences, etc....

Recuperation

I am recuperating from surgery on my dominant hand, arm, and thumb for bone on bone DX.  I am 1 month in to recovery and already going semi bananas...lol...with 2 more months in a rigid splint...

I have been doing art with my left hand and using some of the spray dyes by Lindys, making cards, trying different techniques, and also the black Elegant Writer calligraphy pen which bleeds out pink and blue.  From Tattered angels I am also using their Dazzling Diamond and Pearl Sprays as a FINISH .... and I might even flyspeck some of Decoart's Glamour Dust paints for that extra bling....

This last therapy session the therapist fashioned me a good sized "thing" that has a hole in the center and my paint brush will slide in and then with a tip it becomes secure.....  I am more of an arm painter....so I think it is going to work really nice to appease my addiction so that I can paint a project.

Right now I am working on a painting that is surreal and impressionistic using a picture I tore out of a magazine as inspiration.....  It has been a challenge picking out the right shade of color or mixing the right shade for it to work in the mono toned subject manner...and I have been able to use my left hand along with occasionally putting the brush between my index and middle finger to get a bit more control...... it has definitely been a challenge but it has helped to concentrate on what I am doing rather than on not being able to use the thumb.....

These daisies were taken last year in a friends wildflower garden.....I long for warm weather and sunshine----but our weather report says rain all this week.   POO.

When I am done with my impressionistic painting I will post photos.....

Dragonfly

These are photos of a recent painting I did for a friend as a housewarming gift........  It is done on a 5 x 7 handstretched handmade canvas board (portrait grade) using irridescent paint, metallic paint and my ultimate favorite Glamour Dust glitter paints by Americana DecoArt.  When I was through I fly specked the entire canvas with the Glamour Dust Silver.....  the light of the camera catches the glitter but in person you see only the sparkle of the paint.....and it looks so pretty.  (The majority of artists who use glitter use WAY TOO MUCH...which IMHO ruins their entired piece.  Less is more is a definite when using glitter....at least in my book).    I found the mat on a framed photo I got at a local thrift store.....I loved the metallic edging which is open and shows the glitter here and there through the holes of the silver edging on the mat..... and the white matt was in perfect condition so I rescued it to use when the design/painting warranted this special touch....which it did with this design.    I already have another canvas primed black so that I can redo this in a pattern packet form with instructions and photos.....

I LOVE FREEZIN' FOG DAYS

I LOVE FREEZIN' FOG DAYS
Freezing fog on a pine tree bough.
