Mt Batchelor 11/08

This is one of the major mountains in the Cascade range and can be seen from our house and also

Sun River which is about 20 miles from us and where this photo was taken. The mountain range had just had it's first major snow of the season but down where I was it was beautiful and warm. We most generally have snow on this mountain till July or August. So many beautiful photos to be taken here in OR.

Deschutes River Woods Deer

We have a lot of deer which are more tame than wild and we have watched them grow, mature,

and have babies. They feed here, nurse their young, and we love to watch the bucks that come

duel with their antlers as if to provide us entertainment. We have one buck we call Forceps and then the Grandaddy of all buck which is a 16 point. I went for a walk to take pictures and when I entered our driveway they were all there to "greet me"....

I LOVE Santas..and even today , the day AFTER Christmas, I cannot resist the urge to grab my brush as my book from the author has just been delivered.

These Santas in the picture were painted by a delightful woman who has been dubbed "Dingle" and the book that houses these Santas, and more is called "Dingles Kringles". Her "real" name is Debby Harris. The book was published in 2001 so email Debbie directly at to order your copy.

They are unique, different, mystical and magical and are sure to bring a smile to your face as you paint the designs and bring these Santas to "life".

Debby is working on some new pattern packets and as soon as they are ready I will let you know where to purchase them.....

Remember: Just going to church doesn't make you a Christian anymore than standing in a garage makes you a car.
