I am working on a wall hanging using some hardwood laser cut outs that are larger than the usual ones  along with a steampunk gear bicycle and some "shop tools"…..   I have just finished spray painting a flat black with a light spraying here and there of the color Nickel…. so now comes the detail work.  BUT first I have to paint a commissioned wizard tire cover and think about the orbs I want to paint on the wall in my spare bedroom, plus more rings so everyday I work on something to keep the creative juices flowing……

My Etsy Handmade Rings

I am having a lot of fun making these rings; plus supporting other Etsy Artisans by buying their lamp work beads…..  I use Tierra Cast Spacers which are gorgous and are sold here on Etsy by Dragynsfyre as well as her handmade lampwork beads.  Other lampwork artists I will be using here on Etsy are  
Agate 58 and Imakebeads.  

All lamp work beads have been annealed for durability but one must always remember they are "glass".  They are handmade using torches and glass rods of different colors.  The artis make different shapes, designs, sizes, etc, and use murrini slices, stringers, frit, silvered ivory, etc. and are true works of art.  

Most of the charms I use are small and really add a special touch to the rings.  I will have different Series in which I will list the rings:

Abstract World
Kalidiscope Mystery
Woodland Neutrals
Floral Rhapsody

The rings are really hard to part with because I love every one…..so I am going to have to limit myself……   I try different color bands, charms and spacers before I finalize the piece.  If I have more than one bead that is the same I make sure each ring made is different so that they are OOAK coming out of my shoppe.

DA Boot Finished

Why is it that when free handing a piece it NEVER seems to turn out the way you first planned….it just seems to evolve the way it wants…. Now I have to try and duplicate the same on the other boot…omgoodness.

DA BOOTS

Da Boots are on their way to transformation.  I am doing the sewn design work in red, orange and yellow in a graduation of colors which I am really liking.  The next session will be working more on the colors I have done thus far to blend, brighten, highlight, etc. as well as finishing the design on the other side of the boot.  Then I can progress to the turquoise colors…

Allowing the design work to progress is "freeing" to my soul and brings heart to my hand.

Hand Painted Cowboy Boots / Custom Orders

I would REALLY LOVE to be back in Maui….but since that is not possible….I am going to do some painting and pretend I am there…..art dreaming.

A friend brought me a picture of some hand painted Cowboy boots and told me I should try a pair….
I went to Kohls and found my size in brown.  Tonight I began painting and have the side of one boot done.  The stitching design on the bood is really quite pretty so I am going to follow the inside design with red…fading into yellow (which is looking good) and I want to introduce some turquoise in places so that will be my next decision.   Since these boots will be mine I will probably do somethng that will go with me…and I am not sure just what that will be.  I am also thinking about some boot jewelry and am pretty sure I will also follow through on that idea….and I can switch back and forth with a little mixed medial book jewelry/painting which will provide me a diversion of mediums which I love.  If they turn out nice…..I would like to do Custom Orders through my Blog and Etsy.   I think I will work my mixed media journals in much the same manner.  With the journals;  looking for items has been the most fun.  I never know what is going to "BE" until I am done.  I just start and things develop the way the item develops which provides me so much fun, allows me to get into the unique design, and then appreciation with the finished product.   So stay tuned.  Hopefully by the beginning of next week I will be done….and can how the finished boots.

Necklace

When I was in Maui I had an unexpected reading by a psychic from Wisconsin and she told me she felt I would benefit from wearing Kyanite so I ordered some small crystal slivers and created a necklace for myself.  I added a labyrinth charm…and spacer beads between the kyanite from Tierra Cast sold by Dragynsfyre on Etsy.. The mudra hand was also purchased from a supplier from Etsy.  a hand Mudra for a little extra spiritual emphasis.     The psychic reading I had was at The Sacred Garden where I had just finished walking the 2 labrinths Eve Houge has there for visitors to experience.
